"I want, I know, I can - fun with meaning": Summer school for children from a parish in Bacăutranslated

Between June 29 and July 3, 2026, the Apa Asău Parish in Bacău County - Moinești Deanery was the host of the second edition of the summer school, held under the theme "I want, I know, I can - fun with meaning", an educational, recreational and spiritual project dedicated to children and young people in the community.

The event, organized at the initiative of the parish priest Alexie-Andrei Huiban and with the blessing of Archbishop Joachim of Roman and Bacău, benefited from important partners from the community, who joined hands to do good for the children: Apa Asău Secondary School, Asău Municipality Town Hall, the Education and Health Association for All and the local products store Ospăț haiducec.

The children combined educational, spiritual, cultural and recreational activities in a program that provided them with opportunities for learning, socialization and personal development.

The program began after the Holy Liturgy, with an opening celebration, during which the parish priest read the prayer of thanksgiving brought to the Good God for the year...

Bine că au început cu Liturghia și rugăciunea de mulțumire, așa se cuvine. Mă bucur că au implicat și școala, primăria și magazinul local – se vede că e o comunitate unită. Copiii sigur au plecat acasă cu ceva bun în suflet, mai ales cu diploma aia pentru cel mai mic participant.

Mă bucur că au început cu Liturghie și rugăciunea de mulțumire, așa cum scrie. Diploma pentru cel mai mic participant mi s-a părut un detaliu drăguț – probabil l-a făcut să se simtă important. Parohia Apa Asău pare să fi adunat toată lumea din sat, de la primărie până la magazinul Ospăț haiducesc, exact cum ar trebui să fie.
