Вранская епархия создаст Казначейский музей церковного наследияперевод

Вранская епархия намерена основать новый музей-сокровищницу во дворе собора Святой Троицы во Вранье, сохраняя и демонстрируя богатое церковное наследие южной Сербии.

Финансирование строительства и оснащения объекта, который будет включать пять помещений, предоставило Министерство культуры Сербии.

По словам митрополита Вранского Пахомия, в сокровищнице будет открыта постоянная выставка, на которой будут представлены ценные артефакты из церквей и монастырей всей Вранской епархии. Работы над интерьером планируют завершить к концу года, а официальное открытие запланировано на следующий год.

«В сокровищнице будет постоянная экспозиция, где будут представлены предметы из всех церквей и монастырей Вранской епархии», - сказал митрополит Пахомие.

Министр культуры Сербии Никола Селакович отметил, что проект оценивается в девять миллионов динаров, и подтвердил, что министерство продолжит инвестировать в инициативы в области культуры и наследия в городе Вранье.

I remember our parish's old icon case in the narthex had to be moved because the room was too small—five rooms for the Vranje treasury sounds like a real blessing for displaying all those treasures properly.

Our old narthex case at St. George’s here in Dallas always felt like it was one more 19th-century icon away from bursting too. Five dedicated rooms in Vranje should finally let those southern Serbian pieces breathe instead of getting shoved in the sacristy like we did after last year’s leak. Yeah, that flooded narthex really did a number on those icons last winter. Our place still uses that same damp cupboard behind the iconostasis, so I get the worry. Do you reckon the diocese might look at fixing the roof at St George's first before splashing out on fancy museums?
