Restoration of shrines and revival of churches: how churches are being restored in Plyostranslated

In Plyos, systematic work is being carried out to restore churches. For 1,800 residents of the Plyossky urban settlement, there are 10 churches: the Resurrection Church (stone), the Assumption Cathedral, the Varvarin Church, the Church of the Resurrection of Christ on Mount Levitan, the Chapel of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, the Church of Michael the Archangel, the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord, the Trinity and Vvedenskaya churches, as well as the Church of the Savior Not Made by Hands in the village of Spasskoye. The restoration of many churches in Plyos was carried out at the expense of philanthropists and foundations, in particular, the “Dar” Foundation and the Plyos Development Corporation.  “But all this would not have been possible without the participation of the state - the Russian Ministry of Culture, the Ivanovo Region Committee for State Protection of Cultural Heritage Objects and the Plyossky Museum-Reserve,” emphasized Timerbulat Karimov, Chairman of the Council of the Plyossky urban settlement.
