A student from the Sunday school of the Church of the Archangel Michael in the city of Zheleznogorsk became the winner of the “Planet Earth” 2026 competitiontranslated

Maria Mishchenko, a student of the Sunday school “Otrada” of the Cathedral of the Archangel Michael in the city of Zheleznogorsk, became the winner of the competition of the VIII Summer School of Young Researchers “Planet Earth” 2026. She took first place with her research work on the topic “The difference between the Church Slavonic language and the Russian language.” The project is organized by the International Center for Research Projects on the Science and Education ONLINE platform; the competition was held in a remote online format for schoolchildren and students.
Maria is one of the most active pupils of the Sunday school: she regularly takes part in all its events, acts as the host of the holidays, and plays leading roles in Christmas and Easter performances. It is not surprising that the Church Slavonic language became the topic of her research: love for the liturgical word, attention to tradition and a keen interest in faith helped her to deeply and thoughtfully explore this topic. Masha prepared a serious research paper and presented it worthily at the competition. This victory was the fruit of her work, diligence and sincere interest in her native spiritual culture.
The rector of the cathedral, the director of the Sunday school, Archpriest Roman Neshcheret, and all the teachers with all their hearts...
