Pupils of the Rechitsa Sunday school visited a film lecturetranslated

Summer holidays give Sunday school students the opportunity to continue learning about biblical history in new formats, combining educational meetings with relaxation and communication.
On August 12, pupils of the Sunday school of the Holy Dormition Cathedral in the city of Rechitsa attended a film lecture at the Belarus cinema, where the children watched the animated film “Brave David”.
Before the start of the session, Deacon Andrei Bodko addressed the young spectators. The priest told the children the biblical story about young David and his victory over Goliath, drawing attention to the faith and courage of the future king, his trust in God’s help.
The preliminary conversation helped the children better understand the content of the cartoon and see its spiritual meaning behind the events of the famous biblical story.
The animated film introduced the children to the story of David and the events of his life. After learning about the biblical story in Sunday school, this format allowed the children to once again turn to already known events and discuss the qualities that are important for a Christian - faith, courage and trust in God.
