Pupils of "Blagovestnik" made a pilgrimage to Tatarstantranslated

On October 4, pupils of the Blagovestnik Sunday school, together with their parents, made a pilgrimage to the holy places of Tatarstan. The route included the Raifa Monastery and the Kazan Bogoroditsky Monastery.
The first stop was the Raifa monastery. The pilgrims prayed at the Divine Liturgy and received the Holy Mysteries of Christ. After the monastery meal, they were given a tour of the monastery territory. The trip participants also prayed before the miraculous Georgian image of the Mother of God.
In the afternoon the group went to Kazan. At the Bogoroditsky Monastery, pilgrims were given a tour of the churches. The children visited the recently restored cave church, which replicates the underground church destroyed during the Soviet years. Participants bowed to the place where the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God was found in 1579.
The trip ended with a visit to the Kazan Kremlin, where school pupils and their parents visited the Annunciation Cathedral and venerated its shrines.
