Palm Sunday Sunday School "Palm Sunday" Passed Inspectiontranslated

On November 1, the Palm Sunday Sunday School at the Church of the Archangel Michael and All Angels of Ulyanovsk successfully passed its inspection. A member of the religious education and catechesis department of the Simbirsk Diocese attended the classes and also spoke with the teaching staff and parents of the students.

Classes are held in a specially equipped room. The school is attended by more than 25 people. Instruction is organized in three age groups: preschool, first grade, and second group (second grade).

At the school, the Law of God, church history, the Orthodox iconostasis, the lives of the saints, and Orthodox traditions are taught. Additionally, there is a theater studio for children. The classes are led by two teachers.

The school director, Tatyana Gorunova, has a higher pedagogical education. She completed short-term courses for Sunday school teachers at the Department of Religious Education and Catechesis of the Simbirsk Diocese and in 2026 graduated from the Center for the Preparation of Church Specialists (CPCS) of the Simbirsk Diocese with a specialization in "Church Specialist of Unified Profile." The second teacher, Olga Falko, has theological and directing education.

The work is not only carried out with children, but also with their parents and the broader community.
