The Sunday school of the Iveron parish visited Krasny Beregtranslated

Pupils of the Sunday school of the parish of the Church of the Iveron Icon of the Mother of God in Gomel, together with teachers and parents, visited the agricultural town of Krasny Bereg. The spiritual and educational trip took place on November 3, 2026 with the blessing of His Eminence Stephen, Archbishop of Gomel and Zhlobin.

Before departure, the rector of the parish, Archpriest George Tur, blessed the travelers and addressed them with parting words. The priest recalled compassion and Christian love for one’s neighbor, calling on the children to pay close attention to what they were about to see and learn.

The first place to visit was the memorial complex “Children Victims of War”. During the excursion, schoolchildren learned about the history of the memorial dedicated to the tragic fate of children during the Great Patriotic War. The participants of the trip examined the compositions of the complex and laid flowers and toys in memory of the victims.

Acquaintance with the history of Krasny Bereg continued in the estate and park complex of the 19th century, which belonged to the Kozell-Poklevsky family. The children learned about the history of the estate, toured the halls of the palace, decorative stucco moldings and preserved interiors.
