The Sunday religious school of the parish of the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ in Brest was declared a laureate of the Summer Marathon of Sunday Schools of the Belarusian Exarchate in the “Photo Report” category.

This creative project for students and teachers of Sunday schools is annually organized by the Synodal Department of Religious Education and Catechesis of the Belarusian Orthodox Church. The project is aimed at developing the creative potential of participants, introducing children to Orthodox culture and demonstrating the parish life of Sunday schools in the summer. Works are accepted during the summer (from June 1 to August 31), and the results are summed up in the fall. Participants can present their materials in three directions: “Photo report”, “Video business card”, “Video”.

In the “Photo Report” category, the experience of holding summer events for students, united by the common theme of “Icons of the Blessed Virgin Mary,” was presented. The journalistic article, supplemented by photographic materials, clearly showed that with the onset of the summer holidays, life in the cathedral Sunday school does not come to a standstill, but opens up new, bright pages for creativity, friendship, joint prayer and communion with God.
