Volunteers of the Church of Blessed Xenia of St. Petersburg made more than 7 thousand trench candlestranslated

The volunteer workshop at the Chelyabinsk church has been operating for two years. During this time, volunteers produced over 7 thousand trench candles, more than 21.5 thousand dry showers and about 23 thousand water filters, and donated clothes, medicines and food to the military personnel. Pensioners, students, former military personnel, military personnel and other volunteers come to the workshop on Saturdays. The special feature of Chelyabinsk candles is the pine cone inside the jar: it increases the burning time and gives a light pine aroma. “The candle and warmth in the trench remind you of home,” say the volunteers. The workshop conducts master classes and participates in exhibitions. Her work is supported by the rector of the church, Archpriest Alexy Bobylev. Every Saturday after the Liturgy he performs a prayer service for the soldiers. Volunteers continue to work. Now we need paraffin, clean tin cans and men willing to help with chopping and pouring candles. You can join on Saturdays at 13:00 in the Church of Xenia of St. Petersburg. Address: st.
