Servicemen of the 90th Vitebsk-Novgorod Tank Division swore allegiance to the Motherlandtranslated

July 28, 2026 · 1 min read

The solemn event took place in the Chebarkul garrison. Recruits of the 90th Guards Vitebsk-Novgorod Twice Red Banner Tank Division took the military oath. For military personnel, this is a festive and at the same time exciting event. Relatives and friends came to share their joy. On the holiday, the guards promised “to protect the people and state interests of the Russian Federation without sparing their lives.” Before the ceremony of taking the military oath, the head of the department for interaction with the armed forces of the Chelyabinsk diocese, Archpriest Dimitry Egorov, addressed those gathered with parting words. In his welcoming speech, the priest emphasized that the recruits swore allegiance to the Fatherland on the eve of the Day of the Baptism of Rus' and wished the military personnel “to fulfill their duty honestly, with faith in God, so that the Lord will help in difficult times.” Father Dimitri sprinkled all those gathered - military personnel and their loved ones - with holy water.
