Catechetical courses opened in Vsevolozhsktranslated

On October 11, in the Church of the Savior Not Made by Hands in the city of Vsevolozhsk, a three-month cycle of catechetical conversations began for parishioners and anyone interested in the fundamentals of the Orthodox faith.
The first lesson was taught by Evgeniy Volobuev, who taught the catechism course at the church from 2010 to 2022. In the introductory conversation, he spoke about the goals of the classes and drew the listeners’ attention to the need for consistent study of the material and regular reading of the Holy Scriptures.
The course is devoted to the basics of Orthodox doctrine. The program includes homework, a detailed discussion of the topics being studied, as well as attendance at divine services in the Feodorovsky Cathedral with comments that help to better understand the content and sequence of the church service.
The rector of the church, Priest Anatoly Boguta, noted that the resumption of catechetical courses continues the long-standing tradition of parish education.
Classes take place every Sunday at 12:30.
