On November 1, 2026, in Vladikavkaz, the opening and consecration of a memorial sign dedicated to the lost Cathedral of St. Michael the Archangel Cathedral took place. It is installed at the intersection of Butyrina Street and Museum Lane. The author of the memorial sign is Arsen Dzboev. The consecration ceremony was performed by Archbishop Gerasim of Vladikavkaz and Alania. St. Michael the Archangel Cathedral was one of the majestic architectural structures of old Vladikavkaz. Its construction began in 1872, and in January 1894 the church was solemnly consecrated. The townspeople called it the New Cathedral.
