As a result of the Russian attack on Kyiv in the night of September 23 to 24, the church dedicated to the Pokrov of the Most Holy Theotokos on the Moat sustained damages. This was reported by the Information and Educational Department of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC). The dome of the church was damaged, and windows were shattered. Fragments fell onto the altar.
