Vladyka Alexy: “Archangel Michael is the relentless protector of all who are faithful to God”translated

On the day of remembrance of the miracle of the Archangel Michael, who was in Khoneh (Colossae), Metropolitan Alexy of Chelyabinsk and Miass celebrated the Liturgy in the Church of the Archangel Michael in the village of Tominsky. Concelebrating with the ruling bishop was the rector of the church, Priest John Parfenov. The hymns of the service were performed by the Bishop's Choir under the direction of regent Marina Goman. After the Divine Liturgy, a festive religious procession was held around the church. In his sermon, Metropolitan Alexy congratulated parishioners on their patronal feast day and reminded that on this day the Church remembers the miracle of the intercession of the Archangel Michael for the church and Christians in the 4th century. “Archangel Michael is the relentless protector of all who are faithful to God. He showed loyalty and devotion, obedience to God, and is glorified as the one who defends the greatness and glory of God. This holiday reminds us that we should do the same towards our Savior. When we live according to the will of God, fulfill His holy commandments, we approach the Kingdom of God, which “is within us.”
