On the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, Metropolitan Dimitrie celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Church of the Veneration of the Lord's Cross in Ulog. Metropolitan Dimitrie was served by Deacon Pavle Maksimović, Protodeacon Darco Đogo, Hierodeacon Slavko Lalović and deacons Goran Gorović and Milos Bjelić.

After reading the Gospel, Metropolitan Dimitrie preached, saying that the Lord's Cross is the center of Christian life and all creation. Calling on two biblical trees from Paradise – the tree of life and the tree of knowledge of good and evil – he explained that both symbolically point to Christ’s Cross, where divine love for man converges. The Cross brings victory over death and sin; a person is a cross-bearer when they carry their own cross, not fearing death but sin. To this end, the words of the holy fathers: "Create so as to understand," because faith is confirmed by deeds.

Speaking about Christ's second coming, the Bishop taught that according to the Gospel, the first sign will be precisely the Lord's Cross, and then angels and saints.
