На празник Воздвижења Часног Крста Господњег, Високопреосвећени Митрополит Димитрије служио је Свету Литургију у Храму Вазнесења Господњег у Улогу. Високопреосвећеном Митрополиту саслуживали су домаћин јереј Павле Максимовић, протојереј-ставрофор Дарко Ђого, јереј Славко Лаловић и ђакони Горан Гуровић и Милош Бјелица.

After reading the Gospel, Metropolitan Dimitrije spoke, saying that the Lord's Cross is the center of Christian life and the whole being. Referring to two biblical trees from paradise - the tree of life and the tree of knowledge of good and evil - he explained that both symbolically refer to the Cross of Christ, in which God's love for man is united. The cross brings victory over death and sin, and man is cross-shaped when he carries his cross, fearing not death but sin. The words of the holy fathers point to this: "Create in order to understand", because faith is confirmed by works.

Speaking about the second coming of Christ, the Bishop taught that, according to the Gospel, the first sign will be the Cross of the Lord, followed by angels and saints.
