Visit of the Bishop of Andida to the Metropolis of Sweden

On the afternoon of Monday, September 7, 2026, Metropolitan Cleopas of Sweden and All Scandinavia welcomed Bishop Isidoros of Andida at the Metropolis headquarters in Stockholm.
The Bishop arrived in the Swedish capital that same day and will remain in Sweden from September 7 to 21, taking part in the Scholars-in-Residence 2026 program of the Axel and Margaret Ax Johnson Foundation, hosted at the historic Engelsberg estate in the province of Västmanland.
During his stay, on September 15, the Bishop will co-organize an interdisciplinary conference on the theme: “What Does It Mean to Be Human in the Age of Artificial Intelligence?”
The conference will bring together theologians, philosophers, scholars of religion, psychologists, and information technology specialists, who will examine key questions concerning human intelligence, experience, ethics, and imagination in a world increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence.
The distinguished visitor was received by Metropolitan Cleopas and Auxiliary Bishop Bartholomew of Elaia, who gave him a tour of the facilities of the Cathedral of St. George in Stockholm, as well as the Museum of Greek Christian Heritage.
