Vicar of Timocului about St. Magdalena from Mălainita: God brought the monastery to the place where she livedtranslated

"The idea was not to have a church or a monastery here," says Fr. Boian Alexandrovici, the Romanian Orthodox Vicar of Timocului, who, starting in 2003, built a holy settlement with his family in Mălainita, in Serbia.

He says that God brought the monastery to the place where St. Magdalena from Mălainita lived. "It was the seal on her life from God," the priest emphasized. "This was the finger of God: I want where a saint lived."

On the occasion of the local proclamation of the saint's canonization, the father vicar spoke with Iuliana Lazăr, the producer of Jurnal Trinitas, to whom he told, in the charming local dialect, details about the personality, life and influence of the saint, as well as about the Romanians in the region.
