On July 31, Bishop Nikolai of Balashikha and Orekhovo-Zuevsky performed the great consecration of the Church of the Nativity of Christ at the Nativity of the Mother of God courtyard of the Guslitsky Spaso-Preobrazhensky Monastery in Rudna-Nikitsky and led the Divine Liturgy in the newly consecrated church. Concelebrating with His Eminence were the dean of the monasteries of the Balashikha diocese, hegumen Evmeniy (Lagutin), the rector of the Guslitsky monastery, hegumen Seraphim (Golovanov), the dean of the Orekhovo-Zuevsky church district, hieromonk Andrei (Korobkov), the rector of the Pokrovsky-Vasilevsky monastery, hegumen Andrei (Tonkov), and the rector of the Trinity Church on Gryazekh. Moscow Archpriest John Kaleda. Praying during the service were the abbess of the Nikitsky Byvalinsky convent, Abbess Kapitolina (Filippenko), the deputy head of the Orekhovo-Zuevsky urban district D.V. Prosfirin, benefactors, parishioners of the monastery and courtyard, and pilgrims. Liturgical chants were performed by the monastery’s festive choir under the direction of Nikita Vyacheslavovich Chernigin.
