XII regional Pokrovsky educational readings were held in Zhlobintranslated

On November 6, 2026, the XII regional Pokrovsky educational readings “Christian teaching about man and the challenges of modern technologies” were held at secondary school No. 4 Rogachev named after V. S. Velichko.

Before the plenary session, the participants got acquainted with the exhibition of Orthodox painting “Inspiration by Orthodoxy”, the book exhibition of the Rogachev Central Regional Library named after Vladimir Korotkevich and the creative works of students of the regional center for technical creativity of children and youth.

The reading was opened by the chairman of the department of religious education and catechesis of the Gomel diocese, Archpriest Artemy Krivitsky. He noted that digital technologies expand the possibilities of education and knowledge of the world, but at the same time raise moral questions for people. The priest emphasized that technological advances cannot replace conscience, freedom of choice and responsibility for one’s actions.

The head of the education department of the Rogachevsky district executive committee, Elena Klochkova, spoke about instilling honesty, justice and the desire to create. She noted the need to help children understand the value of human life.
