A meeting of the discussion club “Philosopher for an Hour” took place in Vyborgtranslated

On July 29, as part of the celebration of the day of remembrance of St. Olav, Equal-to-the-Apostles, a meeting of the discussion club “Philosopher for an Hour” took place in Vyborg.

The event took place on the summer veranda of the signature restaurant “Kochegarka”. The topic of the open discussion was “Testimonies of Christ in Philosophy.”

The participants of the meeting were Candidate of Philosophy Rodion Valentinovich Savinov and Candidate of Theology Priest Nikolai Svyatchenko. The interlocutors discussed how the philosophical thought of different eras revealed questions about Christ, faith and the possibility of knowing God.

The organizer and moderator of the discussion was the Chairman of the Missionary Department of the Vyborg Diocese, Priest Mikhail Kotov. The meeting continued the program of events dedicated to Saint Olav, Equal to the Apostles, the enlightener of the northern lands and the heavenly patron of Vyborg.
