The patronal feast day of St. Elias Church was celebrated in Vyborgtranslated

On August 2, on the day of remembrance of the holy prophet of God Elijah, patronal celebrations took place in the St. Elias Church in the city of Vyborg.

The Divine Liturgy was led by the secretary of the Vyborg diocese, the dean of the Vyborg district, and the rector of the church, Archpriest Igor Aksyonov.

Concelebrating with him were the abbot of the Konevsky Nativity of the Mother of God Monastery, Archimandrite Alexander (Arva), the dean of the Roshchinsky district, Archpriest Dionisy Kholodov, the dean of the Kudrovsky district, Archpriest Vladimir Donkovich, the clergyman of the Transfiguration Cathedral in the city of Vyborg, Archpriest Vladimir Danilovsky, clergy of the Vyborg diocese and clergy St. Elias Church.

At the end of the Liturgy, Archpriest Igor Aksenov addressed the clergy and parishioners with a pastoral word. Then the glorification of the holy prophet of God Elijah was performed, after which the clergy and laity walked in a religious procession around the temple.

The patronal celebrations ended with a common fraternal meal.
