On October 18, as part of the Sunday school classes at the Kazan Church in the village of Glebovo, a quiz lesson was held dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Synodal translation of the Bible. The school students were told what the Bible is and what books are included in it, and also learned how the Bible was translated from Old Church Slavonic into the Russian language that everyone understood, while maintaining the “high calm.” Through translation, the Bible is distributed to different segments of the population. The children also learned that many well-known phraseological units used in everyday life are taken from the Bible. After the lesson there was an entertaining quiz, according to the results of which the students received books as a gift.
