On September 20, the rector of the Epiphany Church in the village. Red Archpriest Andrei Vasiliev taught a Sunday group lesson dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Synodal Translation of the Bible.

The rector said that the decision to prepare a translation was made at the beginning of 1816 at the suggestion of Emperor Alexander I. However, in 1824 the project was suspended, and the circulation of the first eight books of the Old Testament was destroyed. Work on the translation resumed only in 1858 under Alexander II. The Four Gospels were published in 1860, and the remaining books of the New Testament were published in 1862. In 1876, the complete Bible was published, called the Synodal Bible.

Particular attention in the lesson was paid to the work of St. Philaret (Drozdov), Metropolitan of Moscow, who was one of the chief editors and proofreaders of the translation and gave the opportunity to millions of Russian people to read the Word of God in their native language.

The lesson ended with a joint prayer.
