On October 31 and November 1, the head of the diocesan department for interaction with the armed forces of the Russian Federation, Archpriest Sergius Kichigin, performed an all-night vigil and Sunday Liturgy in the Church of the Holy Prophet Elijah on the territory of the 104th Guards Airborne Division of the Airborne Forces.

At the end of the Sunday service, the priest told the parishioners and military personnel the meaning of the parable of the sower (Gospel of Luke chapter 8, verses 4-15), emphasizing that every person has freedom of choice in the perception of the word of God and the implementation of his Christian life.

“The Kingdom of Heaven is taken by force,” and therefore we must make every effort to serve the Fatherland, each according to his calling,” Father Sergius emphasized.
