In Upper Ufaley they continue to provide assistance to residents affected by the recent flooding. At the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, new clothes were distributed to families with children who find themselves in difficult life situations. The parish received humanitarian assistance through the Humanitarian Center of the Social Department of the Chelyabinsk Diocese. New items from the Gloria Jeans company were donated to 13 families affected by the disaster. In total, 53 people received assistance, including 33 children. Earlier, the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary announced a collection of aid for city residents. Parishioners appealed to their fellow countrymen to support families whose homes and farms were damaged due to heavy rains. “Let this feasible help become our common cause, done from the bottom of our hearts. Many small good deeds will add up to great support, which will become a real support for those who have lost the most necessary things,” the parish noted. With the blessing of Metropolitan Alexy of Chelyabinsk and Miass, the social department of the Chelyabinsk diocese joined in providing assistance.
