In Veliky Ustyug they will make art lighting for churchestranslated

It is planned to connect thematic lighting to four churches in Veliky Ustyug. The project was previously announced on social networks by the head of the district, Vladimir Noskov. The Assumption Cathedral, the Church of the Miracle of the Archangel Michael in Khoneh, the Transfiguration and Elias Churches await the Transfiguration. Depending on the season, the artistic image will change. Winter installation projects have already been prepared.

The Vologda Metropolitanate positively assessed this idea. Representatives of the clergy noted that the art installations will not spoil the facades of buildings and will be able to comply with safety regulations. As the Vologda Region news agency writes, the proposed solution will not only decorate the urban space, but also fill it with special content.

The metropolis noted that such a method creates a “text of meaning.” The project was agreed upon with the head of the Veliky Ustyug diocese, Bishop Photius. Experts attribute this type of improvement to the preservation of historical memory and strengthening of cultural values.
