The first Academic Meeting of the new academic year will take place on October 17, 2026 at 12:00. The event will be held for the first time in the new building of the Yekaterinburg Theological Seminary in Verkhnyaya Pyshma.  Metropolitan of Yekaterinburg and Verkhoturye Evgeniy will give a report on the topic “DNA of Russia: you can’t be late to lay down the foundation.”

The regional Minister of Education Svetlana Yurievna Trenikhina will take part in the meeting.

During the event, a ceremonial signing of the Plan of joint events of the regional Ministry of Education and the Yekaterinburg, Kamensk, Alapaevsk, Nizhny Tagil and Serov dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church for the 2026/2027 academic year will take place.

Let us recall that the “Academic Meetings” project for teachers leading “Conversations about Important Things” in schools was organized in 2023 as part of the XXXI International Christmas Educational Readings.

“Academic meetings” have become an important platform for professional and spiritual communication between teachers, where issues of patriotic education, traditional family values, modern humanism and counteraction to manipulation in society are discussed.
