A working meeting with representatives of the Simbirsk diocese took place at the Ulyanovsk Library for the Blindtranslated

On September 30, the deputy head of the department of religious education and catechesis of the Simbirsk diocese, cleric of the Neopalimovsky Church, Priest Igor Kazachkov, and the head of the diocesan department for work with youth, Sergei Nikolaev, met with the director of the Ulyanovsk Regional Special Library for the Blind, Evgenia Egorova, and her deputy Olga Yurlova and the librarian of the electronic reading room, a visually impaired person of the 1st group, Ekaterina Gribova.

The library employees who initiated the meeting said that among visually impaired readers there are many believers who would like to visit the church, as well as those who would like to learn more about the Orthodox faith. Currently, there is a need for monthly meetings between the priest and the visually impaired, dedicated to the basics of the Orthodox faith, as well as excursions for the visually impaired to the city’s churches, accompanied by volunteers.
