Celebrations dedicated to the Day of Family, Love and Loyalty took place in Ulyanovsktranslated

On July 8, on the day of remembrance of the holy faithful Prince Peter, in the monastery of David, and Princess Fevronia, in the monastery of Euphrosyne, the Muromskys, miracle workers, celebrations dedicated to the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity were held in Ulyanovsk.

Metropolitan Longin of Simbirsk and Novospassky performed the Divine Liturgy and prayer service to Saints Peter and Fevronia at the Spaso-Voznesensky Cathedral of Ulyanovsk.

The service was attended by the Governor of the Ulyanovsk region Alexey Russkikh and participants of the All-Russian “Family Parade” - large families and older couples. The parade took place for the first time in Ulyanovsk along Minaeva Street to the Cathedral.

On the same day, Archpriest Nikolai Arkhangelsky, dean of the first Simbirsk district, head of the diocesan commission on family issues, protection of motherhood and childhood, performed a prayer service at the monument to the faithful Peter and Fevronia on the embankment of the Sviyaga River.
