The Carousel of Childhood festival was held in Ulyanovsktranslated

On November 6, the V Interregional Children's Creative Festival “Carousel of Childhood” was held in Ulyanovsk, dedicated to World Diabetes Day.

With the blessing of Metropolitan Longin of Simbirsk and Novospassky, the chairman of the diocesan commission on family issues, protection of motherhood and childhood, Archpriest Nikolai Arkhangelsky, took part in the event. The priest addressed the guests and participants with a welcoming speech.

The event was organized by the Ulyanovsk regional children's public organization for helping children with diabetes, “DiaSvet”. The participants were children with type 1 diabetes mellitus (insulin-dependent) aged from 5 to 17 years and members of their families not only from the Ulyanovsk region, but also from the Republics of Mordovia, Udmurtia, Tatarstan, as well as the Chelyabinsk, Bryansk, Samara, Penza regions and the city of Kirov. Young artists presented musical, creative and sports performances.

The main goal was to attract public attention to the problems of this disease. The organizers sought to show that, despite the complexities of the disease, one can live a full life and enjoy every day.
