In Ulyanovsk, about 10 thousand people venerated the Belt of the Blessed Virgin Marytranslated

On October 7, the five-day stay of the ark with a piece of the Belt of the Most Holy Theotokos in Ulyanovsk ended.

During this time, about 10 thousand people arrived to honor the Mother of God at the Ascension Cathedral.

Over the course of all five days, prayer services were held at the shrine, and the missionary and youth departments of the Simbirsk diocese organized a missionary event. Orthodox volunteers distributed booklets with information about the basics of the Orthodox faith.

Participants of the Simbirsk Orthodox Youth movement, sisters of mercy of the senior corps, representatives of the Russian community, members of the diocesan sports club “Muromets” and parishioners of city churches carried out shifts at the ark with a piece of the relics of St. Matrona. Orthodox volunteers wiped down the ark with a piece of the belt, helped organize the queue and answered questions about the time of prayers and the presence of the shrine. In total, more than 50 volunteer helpers were involved.

At the end of the All-Night Vigil in the Ascension Cathedral of the Savior, the ark was solemnly handed over to be sent to the Samara Metropolis for the worship of the faithful.
