On October 20, on the day of the 107th anniversary of the formation of the Signal Troops, a ceremonial formation of personnel took place on the central parade ground of the interspecific regional training center of the Signal Troops.

The solemn event was opened by the commander of the MRTC and the head of the Ulyanovsk garrison, Colonel Dmitry Badaev.

From the Simbirsk diocese, the clergyman of the Resurrection-Germanovsky Church in the city of Ulyanovsk, Hegumen Seraphim (Lyakhov), addressed the personnel of the training center. The priest congratulated the signalmen on their professional holiday, wished them strength of spirit, good health and God's abundant help in serving the Fatherland.

The governor of the Ulyanovsk region Alexey Russkikh and the mufti of the regional spiritual administration of Muslims of the Ulyanovsk region Ildar-haji Safiullin also addressed the audience with congratulatory words.

During the ceremony, the distinguished soldiers were presented with awards and certificates of honor, and were also awarded new military ranks.
