A year after the tragic plane crash of an An-24 passenger plane in the Tyndinsky district, which claimed the lives of 48 people, memorial events were held at the site of the tragedy.

Relatives of the victims, residents of the Amur region and everyone who came to honor the memory of the victims of the tragedy gathered at the worship cross installed near the site of the aircraft crash. Participants laid flowers and honored the memory of the victims with a minute of silence.

With the blessing of Archbishop Lucian of Annunciation and Tynda, cleric of the Holy Trinity Cathedral in the city of Tynda, Hieromonk Vasily (Obukhov), performed a funeral litany for the blessedly remembered dead, offering prayers for the repose of their souls and the consolation of their grieving relatives and friends.

During the commemorative event, it was noted that in September a memorial in memory of the victims of the plane crash would be opened on the territory of the old city cemetery of Tynda. The decision on the location of its installation was made taking into account the wishes of the relatives of the victims.

The Annunciation diocese shares the pain of loss with the families of the victims and continues to offer prayers for all those who died untimely.
