Leo Tolstoy vs Vladimir Solovyov: what does it mean to rise from the dead?
Second half of the 19th century. - an era when the Russian intelligentsia is painfully searching for a way to reconcile faith and reason. One of the main “mysteries” that needs to be resolved is the resurrection of Christ. How did it happen: physically or spiritually? And is it even possible to think about resurrection? The answer to this question set the great writer and religious philosopher on opposite sides of the barricades. At the meeting, we will reconstruct the course of the opponents’ arguments and try to answer the question: what does it mean to be resurrected for each of us today?
Admission to the lecture requires pre-registration.
