The defense of final qualifying works took place at the Center for the Training of Church Specialists named after Hieromartyr Thaddeus (Uspensky)translated

The day before, at the Center for the Training of Church Specialists named after. Hieromartyr Thaddeus (Uspensky) at the Yekaterinburg Theological Seminary defended the final qualifying works of students in the direction of “Catechesis in the parish”.

The defense took place on September 20, 2026 in the library of the Church of the Ascension of the Lord. The commission was headed by the rector of the church in the name of the Great Martyr George the Victorious, Archpriest Alexander Sandyrev.

After completing a three-year course of study, graduates developed and conducted courses of catechetical conversations in their parishes on the Holy Scriptures, doctrine and worship of the Church. In their diploma theses they presented the program of their course and summarized the practical and methodological experience gained.

In total, 12 people came to the defense. For example, Alexey Chuprov from Vladimir, conducted a year-long series of conversations on the Gospel of Mark; Karen Simonyan from Yekaterinburg - an extensive course on the Council Epistles; Svyatoslav Trunov from Karpinsk examined in detail the worship of the Orthodox Church.

The commission noted the high level and creative nature of almost all submitted works.
