A prayer service was held in Tashtagol on the day of the 96th anniversary of the airborne troopstranslated

On August 2, 2026, a prayer service dedicated to the 96th anniversary of the airborne troops was held in the Church of the Great Martyr George the Victorious in the city of Tashtagol.

The prayer service was performed by the regular cleric of the church, Priest Vladimir Neunyvakhin. The paratroopers prayed during the service.

After the prayer service, the paratroopers marched in an organized formation to the monument to soldiers who died in hot spots in the Park of Military Glory, where they laid flowers and joined the city’s festive events.

The anniversary of the formation of the Airborne Forces is celebrated in Russia on August 2. The memorable date is dedicated to the first jump of 12 paratroopers, made during the exercises of the Red Army Air Force near Voronezh in 1930.
