In the Tambov region, a drone hit the dome of a rural churchtranslated

On the night of September 7, 2026, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the Ukrainian Armed Forces hit the dome of the St. Nicholas Church in the village of Mashkovo-Surena, Nikiforovsky municipal district, Tambov region.

“As a result of the UAV attack, the dome and windows of the bell tower, as well as the light windows of the drum of the central dome of the church, were damaged,” the Michurinsk diocese reports on its social networks.

It is clarified that there were no casualties as a result of the UAV hitting the church; all church shrines also remained intact.
