In the Holy Trinity Church in the city of Sharypovo, the conciliar prayer for Holy Russia and the defenders of the Fatherland continuestranslated

In the Holy Trinity Cathedral in the city of Sharypovo, parishioners and clergy continue to perform a conciliar prayer for Holy Rus'. With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill, at every service a petition is raised for the defenders of the Fatherland: “Confirm the warriors and all the defenders of our Fatherland in Your commandments, send down strength of spirit to them, preserve them from death, wounds and captivity!”

The prayer does not stop. The night before, the parish gathered again for the Sunday akathist. The community has been supporting this pious tradition for four years now. The service was performed by cleric Priest Alexy Frolov. All those gathered with one heart and mouth sang the akathist to the Sweetest Jesus. Although most often the parish’s prayers are addressed to the patron saints of the army and the Mother of God before Her image “Joy of All Who Sorrow,” the cathedral also addresses God with words of deep thanksgiving from the akathist “Glory to God for everything.”

The main thing for the community is unity in petition. The whole world of believers asks the Lord to strengthen the spirit of soldiers, protect them from wounds, death and captivity, destroy the plans of enemies and return peace and brotherly love to the Orthodox land. The clergy invite everyone to join the cathedral prayer every Sunday at 17:00.
