The Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Mother's Day were celebrated in Svetlogorsktranslated

On October 11, 2026, at the end of the Divine Liturgy, a festive concert dedicated to the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Mother’s Day took place on the territory of the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Svetlogorsk.

The event was opened by the dean of the Svetlogorsk church district, Archpriest Alexander Kisel. Addressing those gathered, he congratulated the parishioners on the upcoming holiday and noted the special veneration of the Most Holy Theotokos as the Intercessor and Patroness of Christians. The priest wished everyone strength, peace and God's help.

The concert program included creative numbers dedicated to the Most Holy Theotokos and motherhood.

Separately, we congratulated parishioners with many children, who were presented with memorable gifts.

After the concert, a charity fair of handicrafts took place. The funds raised were used to help the local correctional center.
