Celebrations took place in the Stolbtsy deanery in honor of the Tonovo-Slobodskaya Icon of the Mother of Godtranslated

On July 21, 2026, on the feast of the appearance of the icon of the Most Holy Theotokos in the city of Kazan, in the Church of the Holy Great Martyr George the Victorious in the village of Slobodka, Stolbtsovsky district, celebrations took place in honor of the locally revered shrine - the Tonovo-Slobodskaya Icon of the Mother of God, the celebration of which takes place on this day.

A special feature of this holiday is the traditional religious procession from the city of Dzerzhinsk to the temple of the village of Slobodka, which is held annually with the blessing of Bishop Pavel of Molodechno and Stolbtsovsky in memory of the transfer of this image in a solemn religious procession from Dzerzhinsk to Slobodka on July 21, 1995. Also this year, for the third time, a religious procession from Stolbtsy proceeded to Slobodka.

The clergy of the Stolbtsy and Vishnevets deaneries took part in the festive service.

Parishioners of the Church of St. George the Victorious, as well as numerous pilgrims from Stolbtsy, Dzerzhinsk, Minsk and Grodno, prayed during the service.

After the special litany, a prayer was offered for the Belarusian people. The sermon before Communion was delivered by Priest Nikolai Kurenkov. After the dismissal of the Divine Liturgy, a festive prayer service and religious procession took place.
