In the Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Lord in the city of Serov reside the relics of the blessed Matrona of Moscowtranslated

September 11, 2026 · 1 min read

On the morning of September 11, a great shrine arrived at Serov’s Transfiguration Cathedral - the relics of the blessed Matrona of Moscow. The parishioners greeted the shrine with reverence, after which a solemn prayer service was served in front of the relics.

This day was also special because the Church remembers the Beheading of the Prophet, Forerunner and Baptist of the Lord John - a day of strict fasting and prayer, filled with deep spiritual meaning.

Everyone will be able to venerate the shrine and offer their petitions to the blessed Matrona until the evening of September 13.

The presence of the shrine in the cathedral will become for every believer a time of strengthening faith and consolation in sorrows.

It’s good that the relics were brought precisely on these days, when there was fasting and prayer. In Yaroslavl, we also brought Matronushka a couple of years ago, people were waiting in line in the evening. Will I have time to go to Serov before the 13th, that’s the question.
