At school No. 3 in the city of Uzhur, a meeting of students was held with the assistant rector for youth ministrytranslated

On October 14, on the day of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, at school No. 3 in the city of Uzhur, a meeting of students was held with the assistant rector for youth ministry of the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, Ivan Tretyakov.
Ivan told the children how the ancient Byzantine holiday became dear to the Russian people, and why the image of the Virgin Mary is so important for national self-awareness. Schoolchildren learned how the tradition of prayer for soldiers lives in the Church today and what the request for “Protection” actually means for those who are now defending the Fatherland.
According to the high school students, the conversation turned out to be honest and timely. To continue the dialogue, the guys filled out questionnaires, from which they have already chosen topics for the next meetings. As the apostles Peter and Paul noted in the church, the main goal of youth ministry is not preaching from the pulpit, but a confidential conversation on equal terms.
