A series of lectures on Orthodox culture continues at the Northern Pedagogical Collegetranslated

At the Northern Pedagogical College, the lecture cycle on Orthodox culture is renewed annually - for the eighth year in a row, it has become an important part of the training of future teachers.

On September 15, a regular meeting was held with future primary school teachers who will later be able to teach the modular course “Fundamentals of Religious Cultures and Secular Ethics” (ORKiSE), in particular the module “Fundamentals of Orthodox Culture.”

The lesson was conducted by Priest Simeon Shestakov, head of the missionary and youth departments of the Serov diocese. The lecture dealt with the basics of Christian theology, as well as the formation and understanding of the Holy Scriptures.

Particular attention was paid to the theme of love as a fundamental principle underlying pedagogical activity: love for children was considered as the key to the successful and creative work of a teacher.

A separate topic of the meeting was the veneration of the holy noble princes Peter and Fevronia of Murom - patrons of family and marriage. As these saints were commemorated on September 13, class participants discussed the significance of their heroism and the reflection of the ideals of the Christian family in modern life.
