The Deesis icon was donated to the military church in Sertolovotranslated

The St. Petersburg State Academy of Arts and Industry named after A. L. Stieglitz, represented by the rector Anna Nikolaevna Kislitsyna, together with the head of the Popular Front of St. Petersburg Ekaterina Vladislavovna Kondratieva and the chairman of the board of the ANO “Team of the Country” Dmitry Valerievich Bubnov donated the altarpiece “Deesis” to the military personnel.

The image was painted specifically for a military church located on the territory of a military unit in the Sertolovo-1 microdistrict.

The icon is made using the encaustic technique - an ancient technique of painting and iconography, in which wax and resin are used as binding components. This method of writing allows you to preserve and emphasize the natural texture of the wooden base.

The rector, Archpriest Anatoly Shcherbatyuk, expresses gratitude to the donors.
