In the village of Koptevka a prayer service was held before the start of the harvesttranslated

On July 27, the rector of the church in the name of the Holy Great Martyr George the Victorious in the village of Koptevka, Novospassky district, Archpriest Andrei Korshunov, performed a prayer service for every good deed. The service took place in the fields of one of the local peasant farms before the start of the harvest season.

The priest sprinkled holy water on the ripening crops and the harvesters going out into the field. During the service, the farmers prayed, for whom the most important time is now approaching.

— For a rural person, the harvest is the result of long labor, and starting it with prayer is a good age-old tradition. We asked the Lord to bless the workers, send favorable weather, strengthen strength and help to collect what was grown without loss,” noted Father Andrei.

The farm where the prayer service was held is headed by Alexander Volodin. He is a patron and benefactor of the temple in Koptevka.
