In the village of Goyany, Dubossary district, through the labors and diligence of local residents, led by the head of the village administration, Alena Antonovna Zgerya, with the support of philanthropists Andrei Yuryevich Rozhik, Eduard Ivanovich Burdile, Andrei Yuryevich Beloborodov and many other benefactors, the construction of the long-awaited church-chapel in honor of the holy apostle and evangelist John the Theologian continues. On May 21, on the feast of the Ascension of the Lord and the day of remembrance of the holy apostle and evangelist John the Theologian, the clergy of the Dubossary deanery, headed by the dean of the district, Archpriest Georgy Lisovsky, performed a solemn prayer service. The clergy consecrated the walls of the future church-chapel and offered prayers to the Lord for His blessing on the upcoming work. Since then, construction work has continued, and through the joint efforts of village residents, clergy and benefactors, the future shrine is gradually taking shape.
