On August 4 and 5, festive events were held in Mordovia dedicated to a significant date - the 25th anniversary of the canonization of the famous Russian naval commander, the holy righteous warrior Theodore Ushakov.

Metropolitan Longin of Simbirsk and Novospassky took part in the celebrations.

On the eve of the holiday, Metropolitan of Simbirsk and Novospassky Longinus, Metropolitan of Saransk and Mordovian Zinovy, Bishop of Serdobsky and Spassky Mitrofan, Bishop of Murom and Vyaznikovsky Nil, Bishop of Shchigrovsky and Manturovo Theognost, in the service of the guests of the celebration in holy orders, performed an all-night vigil in the cathedral Cathedral in the name of the holy righteous warrior Theodore Ushakov, Saransk.

On August 5, the Divine Liturgy in the Saransk Cathedral was performed by a council of bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church. The service was led by Metropolitan Barsanuphius of St. Petersburg and Ladoga.

Before the start of the service, a shrine containing the relics of the righteous warrior Theodore Ushakov was brought from the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary at the Sanaksar Monastery.

At the end of the Liturgy, a religious procession was held around the temple with access to the monument to the holy warrior Theodore Ushakov. Then a prayer service and ceremony were performed...
