A five-meter worship cross was installed and consecrated on October 8, 2026 at the highest point of the Primorsky Territory - 1,854 meters above sea level - Mount Cloudnaya.

The cross was installed to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Arsenyev diocese, the anniversary of the Chuguevsky district, as well as the Day of Formation of the Primorsky Territory, the diocesan website reports.

It is noted that the history of the creation of the worship cross began with the initiative of the Cossacks of the village of Izyubriny, who turned to Bishop Gury of Arsenyevsk and Dalnegorsk.

Bishop Gury supported the initiative, and the sketch of the cross was developed by the architect of the diocese, nun Theodora (Simbirtseva).

The cross was created using the funds raised. Hierodeacon Dosifei (Zykov) cooked it.

It is specified that on one side of the worship cross there is a memorial plaque, and on the other - the text of the prayer “Our Father” and the icon of the Archangel Michael and the Great Martyr Theodore Tiron.

Governor of the Primorsky Territory Oleg Kozhemyako, who coordinated the final agreements with the aviators, helped raise the cross on Mount Oblachnaya.
